What are the tactics used by petrol pump employees to cheat people?

Generally how a customer can be cheated at petrol pump can be described as below –

  1. if you have not preset entered the fuel quantity the the sales person will stop the nozzle at some lesser quantity than asked for.
  2. In the old machines the calibration unit was malfunctioned, it was re calibrated to deliver less quantity while displaying exact quantity as asked for.
  3. If kerosene s mixed in the under ground tank for petrol/diesel than you will get adulterated fuel which will not give you similar mileage as original petrol.
